The Troll of Olderfjord

Here's my final key art for my fourth term at Vancouver Film School.

My assignment was to design a troll for a fictional movie "Troll of Olderfjord". It was a 3D animated movie with the genre of thriller, aimed at teens ages 11-15.

This is one of my first times ever really taking the time to sit down and finish a painting of this scale, and it was a lot more work than expected. Getting the colours, textures and perspective to all work took a lot of time, but in the end I think it was worth it. I'm definitely going to try to do a lot more painting in the future.
